How To Block A Website Without Any Software

Friday, November 4, 2011

Today i am sharing way to block a website. It is very easy way to block a website without using any software. This way block any website in all browsers. You don't need to block website in all browsers one by one. Follow below steps carefully -

1) Go To - C:\ > Windows > System32 > Drivers > Etc
in your computer or directly go to this url in your computer - C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc

2) Now In Etc folder you can see 5-6 files. In these file select "hosts" file and open it in notpad.

3) In notpad you can see like this -

At the bottom you can see - 127.0.0.1 localhost

Type the same below it and change localhost with you domain name like this -

4) After adding domain in notpad save that file with save name.

Now open your browser and type that domain which is block by you and see it really works. You can also do this for preventing ads and spyware. This is specially for parents =)) who want to protect their children from accessing unwanted websites. If you want to access that site which was blocked by you then open "hosts" file in notpad and remove that line which is previously added by you and see its again opening.

Different Ways To Access Blocked Sites

Thursday, November 3, 2011

In our schools , colleges , offices or any other places some websites are blocked like facebook, Twitter, etc. so that you can not acess them. Don't worry i have many solutoins for accessing blocked websites on internet. These different ways are -

Note: Please authenticate with your local authorities before using these ways. We will not beheld responsible for any breach of regulation done by you.

1) Use Ip Address Insted Of  Domain Name

Sometimes blocked sites are stored as a list of URLs (example- www.facebook.com, www.twitter.com, etc.) and by typing the IP instead of the URL might sometimes work. You can also do it online via      www.domaintoip.com. In a local computer, We can check the IP address of any website by executing ping <Website URL> command in the command prompt.

2) Redirection With Short URL

Main URL is banned but by converting them into another shorter URL by URL shortener service might help you to access the site

Here is the URL shortener serveice sites - adf.ly, adfoc.us

3) Use Google Cache

Most of the search engines like Yahoo and Google cached web pages. Web pages are being stored in search engines so we can easily view cached versions of those pages by clicking Cached next to the URL in Google search Results, as updated as Google caches it.

4) Use Wayback Machine

This is another way to access blocked websites through cache. Wayback Machine is an Internet Service that frequently keeps a copy of website from the day a website got started. By clicking on the latest copy of what Wayback Machine stored given us access to that blocked website, almost a latest cached copy.

5) Anonymous Surfing

Some sites allows you to visit those sites which blocked. You can take advantage of their proxy or domain to surf other sites as anonymous.

Here is the Anonymous Surfing Sites - http://adf.ly/3Y7yz

6) Use Proxy In Browsers

There are lots of websites which provite free proxies of almost every country.

Here is one of them - Hidemyass

Set Proxy useing Firefox -

Go To - Option > Adavanced > Network > Setting

Now check in the image and set your proxy.

7) Bypass With Translations Services

Online translation services like Google Translate Yahoo BabelFish allows you to translate a website from one language to another and display the translated results on their own page. The trick here is to enter the URL which is blocked.

8) Subscribe To RSS Feed

If the site you want to visit supports the RSS feed, you can easily subscribe and read it with an RSS reader. You can also regularly send the contents of the web to your email using Feed service.

9) Get Web Pages Via Email

Web2Mail is a free service that sends websites you want to read right into your inbox. All you need to do is send an email to www@web2mail.com with the URL as subject title.

10) Use Google Mobile search

Google mobile search works, but output may not be optimal. This is very similar to using a Web proxy.
